Intermediate Accounting (Volume 1), 14th Edition, Donald E. Kieso

Due to the emergence of IFRS as the required convention for reporting to stock exchanges in the European Union and other important markets, accountants must gain a strong understanding of these standards. "Intermediate Accounting" integrates this new information throughout the chapters so they'll learn how to apply the new global accounting standards.

Global examples are presented to clearly show how the information is utilized in the field. The use of various currencies is also explored, which is critical for accountants to know in today's global businesses environment.

This is a somewhat easy to read book with lots of information. Very detailed. I would recommend the Problem Solving Survival Guide which can also be purchased through Amazon.

All i can say is Amazon Rocks!! This same book sells for $189 everywhere, including usedbooks & halfprice. When i bought this, i couldn't believe the deal, so i had to call Amazon to make sure i was buying the right item. I received the book today, and it's in perfect condition.

The book has a lot of examples that help in learning. If you get the WileyPlus addition it helps a lot with giving practice problems with solutions, practice tests, flash cards, and many other things.
