The goal is to help readers further understand the fundamental concepts necessary to use accounting effectively today, as well as an introduction to IFRS and how to use accounting in the future. Kimmel, Weygandt and Kieso present real financial statements and establish how a financial statement communicates the financing, investing, and operating activities of a business to users of accounting information.

Brand new and way cheaper than buying it from my university's bookstore!!! I saved over 50 dollars. Pretty good book for accounting, but it did lack the answers to the problems in the back. That would have been helpful when trying to correct your homework.

I appreciate how student-friendly the text is. It provides theory, examples with running explanations, and plenty of examples to do on your own (though without a way to "check" your work). I did buy the Kindle version and must state that the only glaring flop here is that you cannot print, even a single page.

I contacted Wiley & Amazon directly about this and Wiley points to Amazon, and Amazon says it's something to "consider" which means for having purchased a very expensive ebook you loose the ability to do what you could do by means of photocopy if you had the print version.
